STUDENT COUNCIL |

A student council is formed every session in order to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. The objective is to ensure that today's students are well-prepared to be responsible citizens of India. |
GENERAL SCHOOL RULES |
1. Attendance at School |
• The students need to attend the school during the prescribed timings; any student not being present at the time of attendance would be considered late/absent. • A student is required to have 75% attendance for promotion. • Student on leave would be allowed to enter the school premises (for any purpose) only in school uniform, and subsequently only after depositing an application duly signed by parents. |
2. During Recess |
• Food and Drinks should be consumed during recess only. • Students are expected to display good manners and should not throw food items on the desks or the floor. • Wrappers and other litter must be cleared and thrown into the waste paper bins. • Students must move back to the classrooms by the warning bells 'i.e.' five minutes before the end of the recess. |
3. Leaving the Classroom |
• Students must remain in the class during the change over of the periods. • Students must not loiter along the corridors at any time. • Students are expected to move in a single line in silence while going for games, music or to the library, and on their way back. • A student leaving the classroom for washroom, drinking water or any other reason must carry an outpass. |
4. Leaving School Premises |
A student leaving the school premises must fill the "Early Departure Form", duly signed by the school authorities, only in a situation of emergency or for school related activities. |

1. General Courtesy |
Students must: • Greet the teachers, school staff and the visitors politely. • Be respectful towards the teachers at all times. • Treat the fellow students with respect. The senior students must be good role models for the juniors by being kind and considerate. • Respect the authority of the Staff, Council members and the Monitors. • Show pride in their school and present a good image especially by behaving themselves when in public and particularly on their way to and from school. • Show school spirit by participating in school activities. • Read circulars or listen to message and do as instructed. • Move quickly and quietly from class for any activity avoiding unnecessary disturbance/delay. • Be present in class for all lessons. • Not leave the school or meet any visitor in the school campus without the written permission of the Principal and parents. • Make proper and systematic use of the school library and maintain silence in the library at all times. • Do not use unfair means during tests/exam. Such improper conduct is unworthy of a SAJVV student and can lead to severe penalties. |
2. In Relation to School Property |
• Students must handle all school property with care. • Any damage to the school property must be immediately reported to the class teacher. • Toilets must be kept clean and flushed after use. • Students are expected to be civil in attitude and environment sensitive. • Anything detrimental to the school, must be reported to the school authorities. Trust the school to deal with a problem in the best possible manner. • Do not remove the furniture, equipment and any other item from the school premises without the permission of the school authorities. |
3. In Relation to Personal Property |
• Students are not authorized to bring mobile phones, MP3 players or other electronic gadgets and valuable belongings to the school. If they do, then the gadget will be confiscated and kept in safe custody for the entire session. No, requests by parents/students will be entertained at any cost and suitable disciplinary action will be taken. • Any objectionable text in the form of books, magazines or periodicals is not allowed. • Students are expected not to drive a motorized vehicle, especially without a valid driving license. |

TERMS AND CONDITIONS |
It is expected that when the parent enrolls the student in the school, he/she has READ, UNDERSTOOD and ACCEPTED all the norms and conditions mentioned in the school admission form and the School Diary. |
REFUND POLICY |
1. The parent must ensure that when the student leaves the school, they are required to give a notice of one month to the school. During this 1 (one) month notice period, the student must attend the school and all the applicable fee has to be paid in full. 2. If for any reason (including the parent's transfer), the student is unable to physically attend the school or has to leave the school earlier, then it is mandatory for the parent to pay all the applicable fee for the entire notice period. |
PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY |
It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the school fees is paid at all times and the school will send only one reminder of the unpaid fee. Late Payment charges will be applicable as mentioned. |
ATTESTATION |
All photographs and forms given to the Principal for attestation will have to be with the student in his/her school uniform. All documents to be attested, will be returned only after 24 hours. |
DATE OF BIRTH |
A child's date of birth, once entered in the school records will not be changed under any circumstances. Any incorrect recording of date of birth of a student will be seriously viewed by the Management, entailing serious consequences which could lead to the student's name being struck off the rolls. |
WITHDRAWALS (TRANSFER CERTIFICATE) |
If the name of an absent pupil has through wanted of notice, been entered in the register for the following months, fees for the month is due even if the child is absent for that month. All dues of the school should be paid in full and library books returned before applying for a transfer certificate. |

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL | |

• Students who have been absent on the previous day will not be allowed to attend the class unless her/his parent has sent an application stating the reason for the absence. | |
• There is no provision for half day leave. | |
• Pre-approved leave is encouraged for absence due to social commitments. | |
• It is expected that the parent must ensure that the child completes the work missed out during the leave period. |

General Uniform Rules | |

• School monogram on every shirt and sweater. | |
• Student must wear their uniform with pride and ensure that they look neat and presentable at all times. I-cards are an integral part of the school uniform. | |
• A student must always come to school in uniform, also during the practical and special classes. | |
• It is mandatory for girls to wear cycling shorts under their skirts. The length of the skirt has to be till knee level. | |
• Hair styles must be neat and simple, no puffing up is allowed. | |
• Long and painted nails are not allowed in school. | |
• Boys are required to wear shirts and pants / shorts as per the design specifications of the prescribed uniform. | |
• Colouring of hair, gelled hair and spiky hair style is not permitted. | |
• Jewellery, coloured contact lenses, henna on hands or cosmetics is not allowed in school. | |
• If a student fails to adhere to the uniform regulations, he/she will be sent home. |
